Peter m. Sifudu
I am a purpose-driven ICT Consultant, Web Systems Developer, and Cybersecurity professional with over eight years of experience applying technology to strengthen institutions, empower communities, and support sustainable social and economic development across Uganda and the wider East African region. My work is grounded in the belief that resilient communities are built not only through access to technology, but through the responsible, secure, and inclusive use of digital tools that respond to local realities while meeting global standards.
My professional journey has spanned academic institutions, civil society organizations, private sector entities, and community-focused initiatives, where I have designed, implemented, and supported digital systems that improve access to information, education, and essential services. I have worked closely with universities, NGOs, and grassroots organizations to translate complex institutional needs into practical, user-centered digital solutions ensuring that technology serves people, rather than excluding them.
A central focus of my work has been supporting education, skills development, and STEM-related initiatives through digital platforms. As a former Assistant Lecturer in software development and systems analysis, I contributed to curriculum delivery, supervised student projects, and supported e-learning and digital transformation efforts within a public university setting. This experience strengthened my commitment to capacity building and mentorship, particularly for young people and underserved communities seeking pathways into technology and professional development.
